sportauto High Performance Days has been a yearly affair for me for almost a decade. It’s a good time to meet and hang out with old and new friends and do some shooting in the background. This year it was a bit special. After a decade of perseverance, Markus Militzer finally stood on the top step of the podium. My tours with Markus go way back, so seeing him climb the ladder was amazing.
You can tell how he himself cannot believe it’s finally happened. It was emotional.
The event wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows though. Following a drifting incident, Rene Portz’s IS300 got bent out of shape.
The only reason you’re seeing the images here is because Rene walked away unscathed. I’m sure he’ll be back on his feet in no time.
